Haunted Halloween Party Bike in Old Town
A Ridiculously Fun Night Out
I did the Haunted Halloween Party Bike tour with a group of friends last week, and it was the perfect mix of laughs, jump-scares, and Old Town bar hopping. Picture this: a festively decked-out party bike blasting spooky bops, a motor assist that makes pedaling easy, and a captain who somehow keeps a crew of cackling grown-ups on schedule. That’s the night.
First stop: stock the “bar” and roll
You kick off at Arizona Party Bike’s booze store, where everyone grabs their drink of choice—everything from BeatBox and jello shots to craft beer and wine. They also carry non-alcoholic options, snacks, and a hilariously on-brand stash of bachelorette and birthday essentials (yes, tutus and those straws made an appearance). Our captain was fun and trustworthy from the jump—he explained the route, laid down the safety notes, and got us into party mode with drinking games as we pedaled.
Bonus: He kept our drinks cold with “Redneck Coolers” (solo cups filled with ice water for your cans). It’s goofy, it works, and we were grateful.
The route: Halloween pop-ups + VIP perks
Giligin’s was our first stop—low-key chaos in the best way and already leaning into Halloween. Pro tip: snag the Party Bike–exclusive $5 Sour Cranny Apple shot to set the tone.
From there, we rolled to 50 Shades Halloween Experience—the star of the crawl. They go all out with haunted décor, themed cocktails, and a full pop-up vibe that screams spooky season. Party Bike riders get VIP perks here: a FREE welcome shot, waived cover, and discounts on their “potions.” Our captain even had flatbread pizzas show up so we could fuel up while we explored (absolute hero move).
Usually, the ride wraps at Rockbar, but we made a game-time call to finish at Pattie’s—and it was perfect. We closed the night with table shuffleboard, a few rounds of pool, and, obviously, adding a dollar to the wall. Peak Old Town energy and the ideal way to keep the fun rolling without a long line or a cover situation.
The bike itself
- A full vibe: lights, décor, and a bone-rattling sound system to soundtrack your ride.
- Motor assist: makes pedaling fun and, honestly, pretty effortless.
- Candy & jello shots everywhere: it’s Halloween—treats for the sweet tooth and the brave.
Why it works for groups
This is a “no heavy lifting” plan—everyone shows up, grabs drinks, and the Party Bike handles the rest. The captain keeps you on track, you get built-in photo moments, and the route is designed for maximum fun with minimal logistics. It’s also very group-photo friendly (we got plenty).
Book it beyond Halloween
Arizona Party Bike runs seasonal themes throughout the year, so if your crew missed the haunted version, plan ahead for upcoming holiday rides—think festive lights, ugly sweater energy, and end-of-year celebrations. It’s an easy win for birthdays, girls’ nights, office outings, or visiting friends who want a “this is Scottsdale” night out without the planning headache.
Tips before you go
- Bring your ID and a small crossbody or pockets—you’ll be in and out of bars.
- Layer up if temps drop after sunset; the breeze hits different when you’re rolling.
- Hydrate between stops (those Redneck Coolers earn their keep).
- Costumes encouraged—the more ridiculous, the better the photos.
Final take
If you want a Halloween night that’s more “memorable fun with friends” than “waiting in line,” the Haunted Party Bike nails it. Easy pedaling, VIP perks at the best pop-ups, and a captain who reads the crowd—this one’s going in the “do it again” file. And yes, we’re already plotting a holiday-themed ride next.
