Salt River Tubing Tips:

  • You can bring your own tubes, kayaks, paddleboards or rent them from Salt River Tubing.
  • Book an excursion through REI Co-op Adventures or Riverbound Sports
  • Must be 8 years old or older to tube.
  • Be sure to bring plenty of sunscreen, water, snacks, a dry-bag for your phone, a large towel to go over your tube, and a cooler (no glass).
  • Rent a cooler tube for your ice chest.
  • Secure all items to you so they don’t float away.
  • Wear watersocks or other type of shoes that stay attached to your feet.
  • Keep a lookout for the beautiful wild horses along the Salt River!
  •  Depending on where you start, the Lower Salt River can take 2-6 hours to complete.
  •  There are Class I and sometimes Class II rapids depending on the flow. If you’re looking for a more thrilling adventure, check out the white water rafting on the upper Salt River with Class III and IV rapids.
