Celebrate 2026 kicks off with the History of Scottsdale Walking Tour, and the main stage hosts the 3rd Annual Summer Slider Eating Contest presented by Coors Light. Festivities also include lively games, the 6th Annual Parade of Heroes, a patriotic presentation of colors and the National Anthem, M Culinary’s Backyard BBQ, and the 2nd Annual Water Balloon Championship.

While this year’s celebration is hosted by the City of Tempe, the Kiwanis Club of Tempe stewarded the event for more than 50 years, bringing in millions of dollars to support local children and youth organizations. $10 – in advance, $15 – day of event, free for children 12 and under.
