Golfing at TPC Scottsdale is more than the traditional round of golf experience. The stunning views of the McDowell Mountains, coupled with upscale amenities and top-notch dining, transforms everyday golfers into professionals.
If you’ve heard of this course, it’s likely due to the famous Waste Management Phoenix Open, also known as “The Greenest Show on Grass.” This annual tournament takes place at The Stadium Course, which has allowed fans to be part of some of the most energetic moments in golf history.
The Stadium Course opened in 1987 and was designed by Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf, specifically for the WM Phoenix Open, which has become the most attended golf event in the world with over 700,000 fans.
The course grew an immense amount of traction in 1997 due to Tiger Woods’ hole-in-one at the 16th hole. Since then, craziness ensues every year at this hole which has been coined “The Coliseum”.
