“Huhugam Ki,” translated as the “Dwellings of Our Ancestors,” in the Onk Akimel O’odham language, portrays the Osborn and Longmore building. Constructed with adobe brick, this building embraces a style that has been cherished by our community for over five decades. A remarkable testament to our connection with the Salt River and the Sonoran Desert, this distinctive structure embodies the unity and balance our people have maintained. Within its walls, a spacious exhibition gallery serves as a single room where our life narratives unfold, weaving a rich tapestry of our cultural and historical heritage within the Salt River Community.
