Maple & Ash

The Chicago-based restaurant opened its Scottsdale doors in 2019, inviting residents to dine in a moody, decadent, and sexy ambiance. Their indulgent menu, led by two Michelin-star Chef Danny Grant, features classic wood-fired dishes, high-end steak cuts, caviar, seafood, drinks, and desserts.
First-time visitors and seasoned guests are sure to enjoy the Ricotta Agnolotti, Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, Black Truffle Loaded Potato, and The Fire-Roasted Seafood Tower (add a pasta bake, which is a secret off menu staple— shh!). The tower includes Maine lobster, Alaskan king crab, Gulf shrimp, Manila clams, roasted oysters, and seared scallops, finished with garlic butter chili oil.
Menu highlights include the Tower Hour, a happy hour weekday offering, and the “I Don’t Give a F*@k” tasting menu. The Tower Hour is an after work pleasure where guests can enjoy $40 mini seafood towers, $2 raw and fire-roasted oysters on the half shell, $10 house wines, and $15 martinis. The “I Don’t Give a F*@k” option is a rotating, four course chef’s tasting menu that includes dessert. It consists of all of the Maple & Ash classics with seasonal twists.
Worthwhile mentions are the Bubbling Potato Gratin seasoned with thyme, gruyère & parmesan cheese. It’s often described as Maple & Ash’s gooey-ist, cheesiest, and the most decadent side dish. The 28-day dry-aged ribeye and a bottle of vintage Bordeaux are a must for a fantastic steak and wine pairing. The savory, earth-driven structure of the Bordeaux blends with the fire-roasted flavors and marbling of the dry-aged ribeye.
For drink and dessert aficionados, The Lady in Black is spicy, smokey, and sweet. It is a staple specifically at Maple & Ash Scottsdale and has turned non-mezcal drinkers into fans. Give it a try, along with the coconut cream pie, which one can only describe as heavenly. The combination of brown butter graham crust, coconut custard, and rum chantilly is dreamy and the best dessert to share.
Maple & Ash also offers a brunch course and is the perfect group destination for an alluring and upbeat experience, paired with mimosas and martini trees, a high-end take on traditional brunch bites, and music from a DJ.

This is different from your traditional steakhouse, and it is hard to disregard the attention to detail incorporated throughout the entire restaurant, even the inspiration behind the name. Maple & Ash comes from the two types of wood used in their wood-burning hearth, and they believe that cooking over a live wood fire simply tastes better.
