Start your engines and speed down to Octane Raceway, the best place for high-speed racing, Velocity VR, axe throwing, and more. Octane is the only indoor/outdoor track in the United States and offers drivers the chance to race in specialized European electric race karts. This “must do” experience is perfect for Scottsdale locals or visitors looking for an exhilarating thrill.
The track is ⅓ mile long and carefully designed for all types of drivers. The pathway features fast and sharp turns, winding lanes, and long stretches of road for competitors to gain speed.
Karts at Octane are the newest and fastest on the market. They supply 32 electric Sodi RSX2 racing karts equipped with EASY DRIVE ® technology, an upgraded engine, the latest version of lithium batteries for faster and smoother power, and an F1 steering wheel.
Go Kart racing is available for walk-in appointments and online booking 365 days a year on a Fastest Lap format. Drivers race for a set number of laps, and the winner is determined by the first to 14 laps for adult races and the first to 10 for junior races.
Once you’ve visited Octane Raceway and become familiar with the track, race on Thursdays to switch things up and drive the track backward. On Tuesdays, the track becomes the Grand Prix Race, and drivers compete for a prize. Enjoy this adult-only event from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and drive a four-lap qualifier and ten-lap position races.
Once you’ve exerted all of your energy racing, re-up with bar food favorites and broad selections of imported and domestic beers, wine, cocktails, and more. Brickyard Grill is open daily and serves Happy Hour drinks from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Sol Raiders, a player vs player game, puts competitors in a futuristic environment to battle it out while collecting the power source needed to survive. If axe throwing is more your speed, shoot your shot and aim for targets on a moving bullseye, duck hunter, Tic-tac-toe, and more. Octane Raceway has an arcade with 15 of the newest games and play-to-win games for prizes.
Pricing for go kart racing Monday through Thursday is $25 for one race, $45 for two, and $60 for three. Friday through Sunday, the prices are $28 for one, $50 for 2, and $70 for three races.
There is no minimum age to race at Octane, but all racers must be at least 4’6. Adult drivers must be 16 years old and have valid ID.
Velocity VR is for ages 10 and up and is set for groups with a maximum of 8. Sessions are 45 minutes long, 30 minutes for the game, and 15 for a rules and safety briefing. $45 for 1 session and $65 for two.
Up to 6 guests can fit into one lane for axe throwing. Throwers must be 12 and older, and guests under 18 are required to have a parent or guardian. A half-hour round of playing is $15, and every thirty minutes increases by $10.
Octane Raceway is open Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday.
