The best kind of restaurants are the ones you can visit at any time. Some days, you want a fun weekend brunch with the girls, a laid-back lunch with the family, or a romantic dinner at the fire pit with your partner. All of this and more are available at Buck & Rider.

When you first walk through the doors, you are greeted with the raw bar that features the import of fresh seafood that’s flown in daily. Further inside the restaurant, you’ll find a sushi bar, a large main dining room, private rooms, and indoor and outdoor patios.

When the weather is nice, take advantage of the beautiful back patio exclusive to the B&R Scottsdale location. Customers can lounge at “The Fire Pits,” partake in the specially curated menu and enjoy the inviting and private ambiance. The menu consists of cocktails and small bites.

If you dine for lunch or dinner, note these popular dishes and drinks.

You can’t go wrong with the grilled fish tacos, crab cakes, and sushi for lunch. The tacos are made with hand-pressed tortillas and topped with avocado, tomatillo crema, and cilantro. The crab cakes are made with jumbo lump crab, no fillers, and Pommery mustard with a side of farmer’s market vegetables. The most recommended sushi rolls are the Crunchy Shrimp Roll and Hamachi & Salmon Roll, which are insanely fresh and made to order.

The Shrimp Scampi Risotto on the dinner menu is a fan favorite. The wild shrimp are fresh from the Sea of Cortez in California and are accompanied by mascarpone, garlic, and fresh herbs.

Any great seafood restaurant must also have great meat selections, and every steak dish is taken very seriously at Buck & Rider. Their Certified Angus Steak is from their own private label, B&R Reserve, and is aged to their specifications.

If you’re leaning towards shareables, look no further than the Smoked Trout Dip, Crispy Rice, and Baja Shrimp Ceviche. The trout dip and ceviche are fresh and booming with flavor, while the crispy rice has a robust flavor profile, including gochujang (a Korean red chili paste), red fresnos, peas, shrimp, and chicken.

Of course, you can’t go wrong with ordering from the Raw Bar. Because B&R has fresh seafood daily, their raw bar selections change frequently. To keep the fun and young ambiance that Buck & Rider produces, there is a message board you can check out at the front of the restaurant that displays the six rotating oysters and fish. There are also seafood platters available, including oysters, lobster, shrimp, crab, and scallops.

Lastly, brunch at Buck & Rider can only be described as fun and sophisticated. The team behind your experience focuses on quality but encourages you and your friends or family to have a great time. There is a half-price bubbly deal where you pick a bottle of champagne and have the option of making mimosas. The bubbly options available fit any budget.

For brunch meals, the Housemade Biscuits with rosemary and whipped honey butter, the Harris Ranch Steak and Eggs, and New Orleans Shrimp and Grits are must-tries.

Buck & Rider has a lengthy list of libations for any meal. They offer sparkling, white, rose, and red wine, plus a list of reserve wines. They also have delicious and diverse hand-crafted cocktails, like the Diego Rivera, the Beachcomber, and the Barrel-aged Old Fashioned, the most popular drinks. And it wouldn’t be a seafood restaurant without sake on the menu.

There are so many details in the menu and design of the restaurant that make this the perfect place for Scottsdale residents. Adam Strecker, the CEO, knew that there wasn’t a place in Scottsdale that could provide fresh seafood. He and others of the B&R team took their Louisiana roots and used the flavors of the southeast to curate a delicious and unique menu.

The self-titled seafood fanatics worked to create a sophisticated, timeless, and casual restaurant. No matter what time you dine with Buck & Rider, you are in for a fantastic food selection and excellent service. The staff’s primary goal is hospitality, and the restaurant prides itself on its commitment to high-quality products.
